Abstract

Due to a licensing restriction, street maps data in maps powered by Mapbox will no longer be available in Cognos Analytics for Japanese regions.

Dear customers,

Please be aware of the following updates to these mapping capabilities:

Due to a licensing restriction, street map data in maps powered by Mapbox will no longer be available in Cognos Analytics for Japan regions. ​
​
Japan maps will still be available to use without street map data, but when a user selects a map layer that formerly contained street maps data, the street maps data will not display for Japan locations. Examples are shown in the attached images. ​
​
Exception: Legacy maps are unaffected by this change. ​
​
These changes will take effect in October, 2023. ​
​
