Troubleshooting
Problem
CU sees the following errors when running the update checker tool:

Symptom
Update checker tool does not allow update on system due to errors seen by the tool.
Cause
This is caused by running the AE node tool against the AC nodes. The AC3/AE3 V9000 system config requires you to update AC nodes and AE AE shelf as separate updates. There are 2 Firmware packages one of the AC nodes and one for the AE shelf. The Firmware packages contain a different update checker tool for the respective components that are being updated.
You need to check that the correct tool is run.

is the AC node tool.Environment
V9k with the AC3/AE3. There is FW for AC nodes and AE nodes Due to the systems not being coupled like the AC2/AE2 the installs of FW are 2 separate operations. It is recommended in the AE 3implementation guide that the AC nodes are updated first then the AE shelves.
Diagnosing The Problem
Review the tmsupgradetest line in the CCU output and confirm what version of the tool was used to create the report
Resolving The Problem
Use the correct CCU tool on the AC node prior to the FW update.
