Unsecured Data Warning on Browser When Using HTTPS on a Certificate Secured Web Site

Troubleshooting

Problem

Browsers can give a warning about a Web page indicating that the Connection Partially Encrypted when accessing a URL secured with SSL.

Resolving The Problem

Browsers can give a warning about a Web page indicating the following:

Connection Partially Encrypted.
Parts of the page you are viewing were not encrypted before being transmitted over the internet.
Information sent over the Internet without encryption can be seen by other people while it is in transit.

This is just a browser warning; however, it does not indicate a problem with the site being secured.

The warning usually means that the HTML page is referring to images with a fully-qualified non-secure URL or something similar to this. Essentially the HTML has both secure and non-secure content reference on it.

It is still actually secured. If you click where the lock should be, you can view the SSL info.
