"Unexpected Error ... Something unexpected happened ... CompanyUserMapping incompatible with java.lang.String" error when click on column header (to sort a list) in Java-based functions, caused by APAR PH14417

Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches any JAVA-based function, for example:
  • Maintain --> System Audit Log --> Overview and Data (on both tabs "Overview" and "Data Changes")
  • Maintain --> User --> User Role
User starts using some functionality where information is supplied inside a table. User wants to sort the table (for example alphabetically) so therefore clicks on a column header.
  • An error appears.
