Unable to Start All NFS Servers

Troubleshooting

Problem

This document provides information about a problem where starting all NFS servers fails.

Resolving The Problem

Problem: The command STRNFSSVR *ALL fails with messages CPFA1B9 and CPFA1BC. The command NETSTAT *CNN shows a "stuck" UDP listener on port 111 when the NFS RPCBind daemon is not running.

Resolution: To resolve the problem, end that listener through Option 4 of NETSTAT *CNN. Now the servers are starting normally.
