Troubleshooting

Problem

Customer is using Statistics 19 on Windows 7 and would like to save a SAV file as Stata type file. However, they are unable to save as a Stata type file. After applying the IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0.0 Client Hotfix Bundle (19.0.0.1 Hotfix). outlined in resolution #90994 we found that it did not resolve the issue of being unable to save data in Stata format in 19.0.0.1 or the later versions This issue is for all Stata types. There is no problem for Statistics 18 and later versions. [Steps to Reproduce] 1. Open the sample file 'Component_1 2.Press [File] > [Save As...] 3.Select Save as type: Stata Version 8 SE(*.dta). 4.Press [Save]. Syntax would be: SAVE TRANSLATE OUTFILE='C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\19\Samples\English\accidents.dta' /TYPE=STATA /VERSION=8 /EDITION=SE /MAP /REPLACE. and the following message is is found in Output. >Error # 7260 >The specified ENCODING subcommand value is invalid. >Execution of this command stops. Why can't we export to our output to these file types?
