Troubleshooting
Problem
From the operating system boot menu, one of the choices is "Windows Memory Diagnostic". On IBM systems, distributed with Microsoft Windows XP selecting this option returns: error /BOOT/MEMTEST.EXE STATUS:0XC000000F INFO:SELETECTED ENTRY COULD NOT BE LOADED BECAUSE THE APPLICATION IS MISSING OR CORRUPT.

The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- IntelliStation M Pro (M50), type 9229, any model
- IntelliStation M Pro (M50), type 9230, any model
- IntelliStation Z Pro, type 9228, any model
- IntelliStation Z Pro, type 9232, any model
This tip is not option specific.
The system is configured with at least one of the following:
- Microsoft Windows XP 32 Bit Professional, any service pack
- Microsoft Windows XP 64 Bit Professional, any service pack
Note: This does not imply that the network operating system will work under all combinations of hardware and software.

This boot menu option appears because all Preloaded IBM Windows workstations use the Vista boot manager. The memory diagnostic tool is only available on Vista systems and should be ignored on Microsoft Windows XP systems. The Vista boot manager is used to enable the hard drive recovery process.
