Cause
The default genesis network driver module with the build 1040 version PHPC/PCMSE does not have the necessary version of the driver ( ixgbe.ko )
Environment
Head node was x3650
Computenode: idataplex server with 10Gig Addon NIC (Intel X520-2 with chipset Intel 82599EB)
Diagnosing The Problem
Compute node does not have the proper driver for add-on network card therefore there was no ethernet interface configured once genesis kernel is loaded
(Alt+F2 on compute node AMM shows no eth interface)

Resolving The Problem
The xCAT-Genesis package needs to be upgraded to a later version after which the compute node provisioned successfully.
