Problem
Is there a way to keep transactions for expired items?
Symptom
I have a lotted item with lot type = LOT
The item expiration date needs to be extended.
Our business users want to see all the transactions of the expired items. How do you close the books to identify the items that have expired?
If we simply remove the expiration date for the inventory balance in the Inventory application, then we will lose the transaction history for the expired item.
Option 1: Transfer current item from the "Select Action" menu.
Transferring the current item will cause available balance to be negative. We are not allowed to have negative balance.
Option 2: Issue the current item from the "Select Action" menu.
Receive the error "The lot has expired" when issuing current item.
