Troubleshooting
Problem
When attempting to install MQ 8.0 on older versions of Microsoft Windows (for example: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003), an error occurs when running setup.exe. The error message indicates that setup.exe is not a valid Windows application.
Symptom
When executing setup.exe to install the product, an error message similar to the following is displayed:
The attempt to install MQ 8.0 is unsuccessful.
