Troubleshooting


Problem

Error occurs after DBA ran the script to create the new application. When selecting the newly created Contributor application in the console error:

Symptom

Run-time error - '2147217911 (80040e09)':

Unable to execute the statement. Select permission denied on object 'applicationstate', database 'a_fixed_expense_forecast', owner 'dbo'., Error number -2147217911 was raised by Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server. Native RDBMS error 229

The SQL was:

SELECT appstateguid FROM a_fixed_expense_forecast..applicationstate WHERE appstatetypeid = 'PRODUCTION'

SELECT permission denied on object 'applicationstate', database 'a_fixed_expense_forecast', owner 'dbo'.
