UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD FILES FROM LINKED MAILBOX, INTERMITTENT ISSUE.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Customer has 3 or more remote trading partners accessing the same linked mailbox with different ids set up for the different trading partners. The trading partners use ftp scripts to download the files from the linked mailbox. The file sizes are small, but the trading partners may download many files at one time and intermittently the download fails. Permissions being denied when the user is super user.

Symptom

Customer was able to reproduce the issue by kicking in multiple downloads from multiple sessions. They can't reproduce the issue all the time, but have a higher chance to reproduce if they try the steps multiple times.

Problem is seen on SFTP, FTP, HTTP (Mailbox UI) downloads daily in production using a linked mailbox. 

Permission errors in the SI mailbox.log:


PermissionManager.haveMailboxPermission() NON (EXECUTE, READ or VIEW) access denied to linked mailbox /dir/External/QAGroup/DIRQA123/Products/QASharedProductWithSameNameAsDiffSub for
user USERQA123


Found the following error in the SI ftp.log during download attempt:
