Troubleshooting
Problem
'Unable to connect to project' logon error occurs when a tries to login to a project from a particular computer. The project's test datastore uses Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.05, a connection between the computer and the Sybase service can be established manually by running dclient from the computer, and the Sybase ODBC driver (wod50t.dll) is installed and registered.
Cause
Certain registry keys may be missing, or the user may not have permission to open them.
Resolving The Problem
Check the registry for the following key:
HKLM\Software\ODBC\ODBCINTS.INI\Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.0 (Rational)
If the key is not there, manually create it. Inside the key, create two String values (REG_SZ) and name them Driver and Setup. The value data for both should point to the wod50t.dll in the \Program Files\Rational\SQLAny50\win32 directory on the local drive on which IBM® Rational® TestManager is installed (for example, C:\Program Files\Rational\SQLAny50\win32\wod50t.dll). Then create a DWORD value (REG_DWORD) named UsageCount in that key. The value data and Base for UsageCount should be set to 3 and Hexadecimal respectively.
If the Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.0 (Rational) registry key is present, try opening the key. If the key cannot be opened, the user needs to be granted whatever permissions are necessary to open that key.
If the user can open the key, check the String and DWORD values in the key to see that they have the correct names and values.
