"Unable to cast COM object of type 'FrMiscB.DataBaseBrowsBClass' to interface type 'FrMiscB._DataBaseBrowsB'" when launch 'Browse Data'

Troubleshooting


Problem

User clicks 'Maintain - Special Utilities' - 'Browse Data'. There is a delay (for example, approximately 1 minute). An error appears. User clicks OK. Two further errors appear.

Symptom


Error No=5, Source=FrangoDirect.DataBaseBrowsD.GetTablesAndColumns#ControllerProxyClient, Description=System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type 'FrMiscB.DataBaseBrowsBClass' to interface type 'FrMiscB._DataBaseBrowsB'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{E318DAAD-81C7-4C1A-9321-20120245A8BA}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).
