Troubleshooting
Problem
You might face an issue scenario where you are unable to Create a File attachment in any application in Maximo because the fields are read-only. However when you log in to Maximo as maxadmin user, you do not see this issue, even if the failing user and maxadmin belong to the same security groups.
Steps to replicate:
Go to any application, like Assets and select any record.
Click the clip icon to Add a new attachment.
Click Add new file.
Click the clip icon to Add a new attachment.
Click Add new file.
The "Create a File Attachment" opens, however the "Select a Folder", "Name the document", "Description", "Copy document to the default location set by your administrator (recommended)?" and "Add document to the document library for others to use?" fields are all read-only and cannot be edited.
