Unable to add fit line in an error bar chart and unable to get T-whiskers for an error bar with a scale variable on the x-axis with the chart builder menu

Problem

I am using IBM SPSS Statistics to create error bar charts with the Graphs - Chart builder dialog. For example I use "salesperformance.sav" from the Samples folder in the installation directory of Statistics. I select error bar on the dialog and drag "Score on training exam" onto the Y- axis. Then I right-click on "Sales training group" variable, select Nominal for the measurement level, and Drag the Sales training group onto the X- axis. However, when the chart is created I double click on it in order to add a fit line but the icon is greyed out, why is this? Additionally, when I use a scale variable on the x-axis I do not get the T-whiskers on the error bars, I only get vertical lines. How to add the whiskers?
