Problem
After changing the default user ID and password of the web-based management interface of the IBM 4U Universal Tape Library (Type 3361-4LX), customers may not be able to access the Web GUI and the library may log firmware errors in its log. The library isstill working fine.

Enter only the first seven characters of the password and log on to the unit.

If a log-on password is chosen with more than seven characters, and the user enters more than seven characters in the password field, then the user may not be able to access the library's web interface and firmware errors may get logged.
Entering the first seven characters of the password resolves both the logon issue as well as the library logging the firmware errors.
