The typical installation option in IBM Business Process Manager does not work on a Microsoft Windows-based system that is managed by a large active directory server.
You might see the issue in the following scenario:
- Start the installer.
- Select the typical installation or install using the typical installer option on the welcome screen.

Resolving The Problem
To resolve this issue, use one of the following options:
- Create a local administrator user account or use an existing local administrator user account to install using the typical installation option.
- Use the custom installation option to install the IBM Business Process Manager product.
