Question

Does IBM provide a utility for modifying AFP SBCS and DBCS fonts?

Answer

The Infoprint Fonts for Multiplatforms Product (5648-E77) product provided the Type Transformer and Utilities, which could be used to transforms Type 1 and CID-keyed outline fonts into fonts that can be used for printing with IBM advanced function printers.

This font product, and the Type Transformer and Utilities, are no longer marketed by IBM. However, the Type Transformer for Windows Free Version 3.3.0.3 can be downloaded from www.ibm.com at:

Notes:

oType Transformer runs under Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The program has not been formally tested under Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. . If using a newer version of Windows, run the program in compatibility mode for 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)'.
