Toolbox Trace for Report Broker

Troubleshooting


Problem

This document contains instructions for collecting a Java Toolbox trace for Report Broker.

Diagnosing The Problem

Report broker uses the tooIbox driver. If a toolbox trace is needed for a Report Broker issue the following steps will capture the trace.

Resolving The Problem

The trace can be activated by adding the following two lines to the correct file:

-Dcom.ibm.as400.access.Trace.category=all
-Dcom.ibm.as400.access.Trace.file=/tmp/ToolboxTrace.txt

For Liberty the file is: /qibm/userdata/qwebqry/WQLIB85/wlp/usr/servers/WQLIB85/jvm.options

For LWI the file is:
/qibm/userdata/qwebqry/WQLWI80/lwi/conf/overrides/i5javaopts.javaopt

The output of the trace will be in tmp/ToolboxTrace.txt

Note: For Web query R210:
If at HF 7 or earlier they are using LWI.
If at HF 8 or higher they are using Liberty.
