Problem
An error occurs when trying to read the import data from a Microsoft Excel data source in the iBase Import tool.
Symptom
Error message transcript:

Cause
The Microsoft Excel data importing and exporting provider has a limit of 255 columns.
Resolving The Problem
Follow these steps to resolve this problem:
- Open the file named in the Source field which appears in the error message transcript.
- Click on the sheet named in the DataSourceName field in the error message transcript.
- Check that there are no more than 255 columns in use in this sheet. In particular check that no data, including empty spaces, have been entered by mistake in a column past the 255 column limit.
