Describes how to download IBM® Tivoli® Workload Scheduler using the Passport Advantage® Online website.

Tivoli Workload Automation is a set of products provided by IBM to automate all workload management tasks. Tivoli Workload Scheduler is the base product (engine) that helps you automate, plan, and control every phase of your workload production.
If you buy the license for Tivoli Workload Scheduler you are also entitled to use the Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS Agent. You can find all the information related to the Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS Agent in its own Download document.
Tivoli Workload Scheduler is fully functional using its built-in commands. However, you can also use the Dynamic Workload Console graphical user interface to perform all the product functions:

Supported operating systems for Tivoli Workload Scheduler
For a complete list of supported operating systems, perform the following actions to produce a dynamic report:
- Go to the web page: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/prodguid/v1r0/clarity/index.html.
- Click the "Operating systems for a specific product" report.
- In the window "Operating systems for a specific product," fill in the field Enter a full or partial product name with the value IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler and click Search.
- In the Select version drop-down list, select the version 9.2 and click Submit to run the report.

You can choose to download the eAssembly eImage for the platform, which contains the eImages for all of the components for that platform, or just the specific component eImage or eImages that you require. In either case, make a note of the eImage part numbers that you require and go to Passport Advantage Online. Use the part numbers in Passport Advantage to find each eImage and download it.
On UNIX platforms, you might have to set the ulimit parameter to unlimited if the eImage you want to download is larger than 1 GB.

Unpack each of the eImages into the same temporary directory on your system.

Follow the detailed instructions in the Planning and Installation Guide to launch the launchpad, from which you can install the Tivoli Workload Scheduler components. The launchpad is included on each installation DVD.

System Requirements

RDBMS support
Tivoli Workload Scheduler requires RDBMS support using DB2® and Oracle. This version of Tivoli Workload Scheduler is bundled with a supported version of DB2. If you decide to use DB2 for your database support, you are recommended to download, install, and use the bundled version, which is licensed for use with Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
To use the bundled version, download the following electronic images for your platform:
