Problem(Abstract)

Timeout error received when processing data via the Map Test (SCI92424)

Symptom

Receiving a timeout error when executing Map Test from the Map Editor with a large (10MB) input file.
Same data file is processed without error when run through the Translation Service in a bp

Cause

There are preset limitations within the Map Test function on the size of file that can be successfully processed.

Resolving the problem

Due to low demand for this functionality this Enhancement Request has not been accepted. If you wish to have this enhancement reconsidered please submit a new case referencing Enhancement Request # 1356580.

Note

As a rule the map test functionality should generally only be used with a small file to test map compliance. Larger files should be tested in a translation BP with the option useStreams set to YES
