Problem
Attempts to use an IBM acquired Telelogic product results in the error "License Error: There is a version mismatch between this application and the license server version."
Symptom
A license error is displayed when using any of the IBM acquired Telelogic applications.
The full error message is as follows:
License Error: There is a version mismatch between this application and the license server version.
The version of the application is 11.4.
The License server found is 19353@<ip address> and the version is 10.8.
A supported configuration must have the server version equal to or higher than the application version.
Upgrading the license server is recommended.
Cause
There is a mismatch between the Flexnet library version of the License server daemon(lmgrd) and vendor daemon (Telelogic)
Resolving The Problem
A supported configuration must have the server version equal or higher than the application version.
Upgrading the license server so that 'lmrgd' FlexNet library version should be equal or higher than the 'telelogic' FlexNet library version will resolve the issue.
