There isn't enough memory to complete this action error occurs when opening Microsoft Excel report exported from Cognos.

Troubleshooting


Problem

Cognos report exports to Microsoft® Excel® successfully.  When opening in Excel The error appears:

The error can be clicked several times then the Excel file opens correctly.  Re-saving the file with Excel reduces the Excel file size.
