This document provides information regarding the behavior of the SPKA instruction on a z196 processor relative to a z9 or a z10 processor. The z196 introduced support for Out of Order instruction execution and the impacts of this new technology can sometimes be seen in tools which do hot spot analysis. This document discuss the impacts of Out of Order execution on certain instructions when executed on a z196.
