Abstract
This technote summarizes which Operating Systems, Databases, Web Browsers, Web Servers and Hosted Development Environments are supported with IBM Rational Method Composer on Microsoft Windows and Linux. It also includes additional software requirements for published web site access and import/export from RMC for both IBM and third party tools.

GLOSSARY:
Hardware: The Hardware upon which ClearQuest is supported.
Operating System: The operating system which ClearQuest is supported.
Revision: Operating System Patch or Service Release or selected Version on which ClearQuest is supported
For newly released operating system versions: Upon release of a new version of a currently supported operating system, IBM Rational will evaluate adding ClearQuest support for the new version after 90 days. Support will be extended to the latest supported release of ClearQuest; older ClearQuest releases will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
For newly released operating system updates: When a new update to a supported operating system is released, IBM Rational will consider adding ClearQuest support for this update after 90 days. Support for operating system updates will generally be extended to all ClearQuest supported releases that support the underlying operating system.
These statements represent IBM Rational’s intended strategy for adding platform support. IBM Rational reserves the right to amend, make adjustments to, or otherwise change these plans at any time.
For any operating system version not currently listed in the tables, please refer to the IBM Rational Software RFE Community where you can search for existing support requests or submit a new request.

Other Platform Software Requirements
- Java Runtime Environments are required for viewing applet versions of published Web sites.
JavaScript is required for non-applet versions of published Web sites.
RMC 7.5 uses BIRT v2.2.2 which provides support for Microsoft Word 2003 or 2007, Adobe Reader 6 or later file format output.
RMC 7.5 RAM client V7.1.0.1 (7.5 ifix2 uses V7.1.1)
RMC 7.5 supports WebSphere Business Modeler V6.0.2 file format output (7.5ifix2 supports V6.0.2, V6.1.2 and V6.2)
