Abstract

This document describes the system maintenance and pre-entitled components that are available for use with IBM® PureApplication™ System Version 2.0 Interim Fix 3. Unless indicated otherwise, the information applies to both W2500, W1500 (MT8283) and W2700, W1700 (MT8278) systems.

Content

System updates
Version 2.0 Interim Fix 3 includes updates for the system's platform components. The supported paths for installing the system updates are listed as follows:

  • Version 2.0 to Version 2.0 Interim Fix 3
  • Version 1.1.0.4 (plus interim fixes) to Version 2.0 Interim Fix 3

Contact your IBM service representative to install the system updates.

Virtual images and virtual patterns
The following table lists the virtual images and virtual patterns that are supported with Version 2.0 Interim Fix 3. When a virtual image or virtual pattern is updated for a new release of PureApplication System, the component is available for download from the PureSystems Centre.

The terms IBM DB2 Advanced Workgroup Standard Edition and IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition in the above link refer to IBM DB2 Hypervisor Edition.


Downloading fixes from Fix Central
Download system maintenance and updates to virtual images and virtual patterns from Fix Central as described in the following steps:

1. From the Select product tab, select the following options and click Continue:
  • Product Group: PureSystems
  • Select from PureSystems: PureApplication System
  • Installed Version: 2.0.0.1
  • Platform: All
2. Confirm the Browse for fixes option is selected, and click Continue.
3. Download the fixes and updates you want to apply to your system by clicking the name of each file.
