SwiftNet7: SSL certificate host name mismatch

Troubleshooting


Problem

Customer tries to configure a SwiftNet7 adapter with an SSL connection to MEFG

Symptom

SwiftNet7 adapter did not start. The MEFGCommServer.log from <MEFG install>/log/ftr contains error below:

https://<IP or name of SB2BI system>:<http port for Swift calls>/soap/SWIFTNet7ContextReport
set_ssl_context entered.
SOAP 1.1 fault: SOAP-ENV:Client [no subcode]
"SSL error"
Detail: SSL certificate host name mismatch in tcp_connect()
Failed to initalize SWIFT environment.
Adapter server is NOT started.
