Answer
The IBM Security Access Manager for Web virtual appliance supports VMware virtual machine version 7 and later.
The virtual appliance installation documentation in the IBM Knowledge Center states to specify VMware virtual machine version 7. Actually any version later than VMware hardware version 7 is supported. You can specify any version from 7 and later as your virtual machine version when you install the virtual appliance.
