Problem

This technote outlines the support policy for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) with IBM® Rational® Build Forge®.

Symptom


When a user logs in to a Build Forge Management Console using a Web browser, their password is sent over the network in clear text format. A sniffer placed on the network can easily see the user's password.
