The following table lists the file systems that Rational ClearCase supports for view and VOB storage. If a file system is not listed in the table, it is not supported. Inform IBM Rational Support or your sales representative of any concerns you have about this list.

The following file systems cannot be used to store any Rational ClearCase data on any platform:
- Andrew File System (AFS(R)). See technote 1133615 Andrew File System support for ClearCase
- DFE Distributed File System (DFS(TM)). See technote 1131253 Support Policy for DFS (Distributed File System) and ClearCase
- Any memory-based file system (such as memFS, tmpFS, swapFS)
