Support for new group-level action to copy files from remote server

Steps

MaaS360 adds a new group-level dynamic action to allow the administrators to easily copy a file to a group of Zebra and Bluebird devices from a remote server.

Note:

• This feature is not enabled by default. To enable this feature for your account, please contact MaaS360 support team.
• When this action is pushed to a group that consists of multiple device types, the action is only applied to Zebra and Bluebird devices.

Requirements:

• Requires MX 4.3 and above and MaaS360 agent 5.85 and above for Zebra devices.
• Requires MaaS360 agent 6.20 for Bluebird devices.

Steps:

To copy a file from a remote location,

1. Navigate to Device > Groups.

2. Hover over the More option on a group and then click Manage Android Devices.

Result: The Manage Android Devices dialog box appears.

3. Select Copy File – Remote Server in the Action field.

4. Provide the following details:

• Remote Source URL: Specify the source location on the remote server. Note: The URL must be accessible on the device over the network.
• Target File Path (on device): Specify the target location on the device.

5. Click Continue.
