Support to enable debug logging for MaaS360 Windows agents
Environment
MaaS360 adds debug logging support, allowing the administrators to produce a detailed log of application activity captured from supported Windows agents. The diagnostic logs help the support team to troubleshoot issues by pinpointing the cause of the problem. Previously, the options to enable debug logs and upload logs were restricted to the MaaS360 support team.
Supported MaaS360 agents:
- MaaS360 core app version 3.70.x and above.
- Secure Browser app version 3.60.x and above.
- MDM Extender app version 1.70.x and above.
- MaaS360 VPN app version 3.60.x and above.
- BigFix
Steps to collect and upload debug logs
- Navigate to Devices> Inventory.
- Open the device that you want to troubleshoot.
- Click More> Enable Debug Mode.
Result: The debug mode is successfully enabled.
Note: It is recommended to enable debug logs only when troubleshooting an issue.
- Reproduce the issue that is being investigated.
- Upload the debug logs by clicking More> Upload Logs.
- Select the MaaS360 apps for which the logs are uploaded.

- Secure Browser
- MaaS360 VPN
- MDM Extender Agent
- Patch Management: Collects BigFix app logs.
- Device Management: Collects device management (MDM Diagnostics) logs.
- : The debug logs are sent to MaaS360 for troubleshooting.
- Disable the debug logs by clicking More> Disable Debug Mode.
Result: The debug mode is disabled.
Info Logs
MaaS360 recommends the troubleshooting of issues with the info logs beforehand collecting the diagnostic logs. The info logs provide insight into basic operations performed on the MaaS360 applications and can be collected without enabling the debug mode in MaaS360 portal.
To collect info logs,
- Navigate to Devices> Inventory.
- Open the device that you want to troubleshoot.
- Click More> Upload Logs(without enabling the debug mode).
- Select the MaaS360 agent apps for which the info logs are uploaded.
- Click Continue.
Result: The info logs are successfully uploaded.
