IBM Support

SunSparc Sensor returns wrong CPU info

Troubleshooting

Problem

Details for a Sun Sparc Computer System in the TADDM GUI do not contain the correct CPU information.

Symptom

System known to have 8 CPUs shows in TADDM GUI as only having one.

Logs from a discovery of the system show that the "psrinfo -p | sed s'/ //g'" command returns:

DEBUG os.SolarisOs - number of physical CPUs: 1

And the "kstat cpu_info | grep -w core_id | sort | uniq | wc -l | sed s'/ //g'" returns:

DEBUG os.SolarisOs - number of Cores: 1
