Stream locked for scanning error in RTC logs

Troubleshooting


Problem

Attempts to review IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) application log files results in 'Unable to scan stream' errors flooded in log files.

Symptom

The following error will be seen in the log file:
[AsynchronousTaskRunner-1] ERROR      
adata.collection.service.MetadataCollectionService  - CRJZZ0405E Unable
to scan stream X- <name> because it is locked for scanning by another process.
