Secure Communication Options

Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork offersseveral types of secure communications options including communicationand data encryption. Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork storesencryption certificates in a secure location that can be accessedonly by authorized staff.

Encryption servicesinclude the following:

  • EDI AS1 and AS2
  • Connect:Direct Secure+
  • PGP over FTP
  • Secure FTP (FTP/S and SFTP)
  • HTTP/S
  • 3DES and IPSec (through VPN)
Note:
  • Because the Dial-up communications protocol is direct (or point-to-point)it is inherently secure. (Dial-up is only available within the U.S.)
  • Regardless of the protocol VPN connections encrypt the TCP packets.
  • Frame Relay and ANX communications protocols are considered privatenetworks and are inherently secure.
