"Starting ... Connection in progress" message never disappears, when trying to launch Controller on Cloud, triggered by Proxy server

Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches browser, and types in URL to Controller on Cloud website. User sees the Citrix StoreFront website. User types in username/password. User clicks on the 'Controller' application icon. The Citrix Receiver application tries to launch the Citrix published application. On the screen a 'Starting...' message appears. The status of 'Connection in progress' never changes. The Controller application does not launch.
