Troubleshooting
Problem
This document describes the cause of message SRCB7005191.
Resolving The Problem
System will call home with message SRCB7005191, and the error will show up in PAL and SAL when there is a configuration error with virtual adapters. The error is caused by having more than one client SCSI adapter pointing to the same server SCSI adapter that contains virtual drives. To locate the problem, you should look at all Host adapters and then check each client adapter and ensure that there are not more than one client adapter per host adapter. To check this, you need to look at the partition properties for each partition from the HMC. The following is an example of an invalid configuration:
B7005191 means a partition tried to use a virtual adapter (either a virtual SCSI adapter or virtual Serial adapter) that was configured incorrectly by the user. For example, if they have a virtual SCSI client adapter that is configured to point at remote partition X, virtual slot Y, and there isn't a virtual SCSI server adapter configured there.
Starting with eFW2.3.5, word 4 of the SRC contains the partition id containing the virtual adapter with the problem, and words 6 contains the DRC of the virtual adapter with the problem. The drc will be of this form: 0x3000xxxx, where xxxx is the virtual slot number of the adapter with the incorrect configuration.
Prior to eFW2.3.5, word 4 of the SRC contained the partition id containing the virtual adapter with the problem, and the some data in the hex information would contain the virtual slot number.

Looking at the properties of the client partitions, we see the following:

Both client partitions have Client SCSI adapters pointing to Connection Adapter 13 on VIOHV8(1). If that Server SCSI adapter contains disk units, you will receive this error. There are two possible solutions to this problem:
1. Remove one of the of the Client SCSI adapters
2. Change the Server SCSI adapter from Any Partition/ Any Partition Slot to the client partition name and client partition slot number.
