Troubleshooting
Problem
When upgrading an iBase database, or upsizing to SQL Server, the following message can be displayed: 'Unable to test the SQL Server connection, because SQLDMO is not installed on this machine. Do you still want to proceed with the upsize?'
Symptom
Cause
This message can appear if the SQL Database Management Objects are not installed on the machine running the iBase client.
Resolving The Problem
This error does not affect the iBase database upgrade/upsize procedure, so can be safely ignored by clicking 'Yes' to resume the upgrade.
To install the SQLDMO components if required, install the Backward Compatibility Components from the SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack from the Microsoft Download Center.
