SQL1042C error during database creation on a file system with Block Size or Sector Size greater than 512 bytes

Troubleshooting


Problem

Create database command fails with SQL1042C on a file system defined with a Block Size or Sector Size greater than 512 bytes.

Symptom

If you have a file system defined with a Block Size (BSZ) or a Sector Size (SSZ) greater than 512 bytes, then the create database command will fail with SQL1042C and the following error message will be generated in the db2diag.log : :
