SQL0104N error in DB2 Command Editor due to incorrect statement termination character

Question

When using the DB2 Command Editor to create a stored procedure which contains SQL statements: create procedure proctest language sql begin drop index "test".index1; drop index "test2".index2; drop index "test3".index3; end the following error is returned: drop index "test".index1 DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned: SQL0104N An unexpected token "END-OF-STATEMENT" was found following "index "test".index1". Expected tokens may include: "". LINE NUMBER=4. SQLSTATE=42601
