SQL query returns incorrect date format

Problem

A SQL Query action in IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT) returns a TIMESTAMP value in the form of 2016-03-14 11:40:19.0 when a different format is required

Symptom

Consider the following Oracle table structure:
