IBM Support

SPSS Statistics 27 Data File Driver Standalone ask for a user name and password and cannot retrieve *.sav file

Troubleshooting

Problem

You have installed IBM SPSS Statistics 27 Data File Driver Standalone 64 bit (from part number IBM SPSS Statistics Data File Drivers 27.0 Multiplatform Multilingual (CC5NBML )) on a Windows machine.

When you download from above Part Number you get a zip file :SS_DATA_FILE_DRIVERS_27.0_M_M.zip.

The file name for the Standalone driver within the zip file is statistics_datadrv_standalone_win64.exe, you installed it as administrator.

After that you configured the driver properly on ODBC Data Source administrator 64 bit and point to sample file accidents.sav you stored for example on C:\Temp, like on the example below:

But when you try to open accidents.sav via the standalone driver from an ODBC 64 bit Client in order to import the SAV file into another application you get a prompt for userid and password and then the error message below.
