Question
I have a data file with students as cases that includes variables with the class name and grade level. I wish to create an aggregated file with teacher name within grade level as the case and summary variables such as the mean student test score. I had already designated grade level as a split file variable for this data set so I listed only teacher name as the Break Variable in the Aggregate procedure. However, when I examine the aggregated file, I see that teachers that taught across grade levels had the information for all of these classes aggregated into one case. The Split File structure of the original file was apparently ignored.
