This issue does not affect running IBM Rational ClearQuest.

The logon credentials of the WebSphere Application Server administrator should not be stored in the file. This issue is identified as a product defect in APAR PM10323.

  • adminPassword: Password associated with adminUserName.

Here is the default location of the file:

Resolving The Problem

  2. Remove the adminUserName and adminPassword values from the file:

With this fix, it is no longer necessary to store the administrator logon credentials for WebSphere Application Server in the file. When WebSphere Application Server security is enabled, and a user attempts to view or modify the MBean attributes by using the Site Configuration window, or a user attempts to view ClearQuest Web server statistics by using the Site Monitoring window, a dialog box displays that asks for the administrator logon credentials.
