Troubleshooting
Problem
Software agreements are missing when preparing system for upgrade
Symptom
GO LICPGM option 5 was done, license program list to update was created. When option to work with software agreements was taken, no software agreements were listed. The following text was on the screen:
(No licensed programs need their software agreements accepted.)
Cause
System value QVFYOBJRST was inadvertently changed from 1 to 4 before upgrade preparation work.
Environment
R710
Diagnosing The Problem
On software agreement screen, pressing F22 (Restore software agreements) caused the following pair of messages from each license program that required software agreement:
CPF389F Trusted certificate list not available.
Cause: The trusted certificate list is not available for reason 206
Reovery: For reason 206 do the following and try the request again:
-- 202 - Install option 34
-- 206 - Create the trusted certificate list
CPI3DA5 Some software agreement documents not restored.
GO LICPGM option 10 did list that 5770SS1 option 34 was installed in *COMPATIBLE status just fine.
After the system value QVFYOBJRST was changed to 1, pressing F22 restored the missing software agreement from the media installation device.
Resolving The Problem
Change system value QVFYOBJRST to 1. This will allow system to restore software agreements. If necessary QVFYOBJRST can be changed to 4 or 5 after upgrade.
