Simplifying ISADC log collection

Summary

By default IBM Support Assistant Data Collector (ISADC) asks a series of questions to determine how you want to collect logs. For example, it asks for the file name for the collected logs, and where the server is located in the file system. These questions are the same every time you run ISADC. If you could reuse the answers from a previous log collection by ISADC that would simplify log collection because you wouldn't have to provide any input.

This technote shows how you can answer the questions once to capture a response-file. You can then reuse this file any number of times and ISADC uses the answers you provided in the response-file and performs the log collection with no further input.
