Shipment Tracking
Shippers and carriers can use Execution to perform the trackand trace step of the shipping cycle:
- Customer Service representatives in the shipper or carrierorganization can use the Tracking tab to monitorshipment departures and arrivals.
- All shipper and carrier users can update the shipment status.
- Shippers can set up Guard Shack users who use the ShipmentLog tab to track freight being delivered to the manufacturingplant yard or distribution center. For example the Guard Shackuser can set the shipment status to In Gate or OutGate.
- Carriers can use the Sterling TMS Carrier Mobile applicationon their iPhone to accept tenders and report shipment status updates.
For example the Tracking tab provides thefollowing features that customer service representatives can use tomonitor their shipments:
