Setting the tray ID switch - IBM EXP10

Troubleshooting


Problem

Each EXP10 Tray ID Switch (located at the back of the expansion unit) should be set to a unique ID. Either 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 or 7. Netfinity manager is one application that uses this setting.

Resolving The Problem

Each EXP10 Tray ID Switch (located at the back of the expansion unit) should be set to a unique ID. Either 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 or 7. Netfinity manager is one application that uses this setting. Page 22 of the IBM Netfinity EXP10 Installation and User's Handbook incorrectly states that the Tray ID switch is not supported.
